Man robbed near golf course
A 36-year-old Devonshire man was robbed and assaulted as two attackers beat him in broad daylight and stole his backpack.
Police received the report on 3.55 p.m. on Friday in the area of Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton.
The victim said that he got on the bus near Marketplace in Sandys and noticed two unknown men wearing all black clothing also board the bus.
The men got off the bus at White Hill and the Devonshire man started walking east with the two unknown men following him.
When he was in the area of Port Royal Golf Course the two attackers attempted to grab the victim's black backpack and a fight broke out.
The men threw the victim to the ground, kicking him on his body and head before leaving with the backpack.
The victim was taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment.
He described the suspects as two black males in their late teens with close haircuts wearing all black clothing. Inquiries into this incident are underway and Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.
Disturbance at bar
Around 2.50 a.m. on Saturday, Police attended a reported disturbance at The Beach on Front Street.
A 22-year-old Southampton man was injured, but details are not clear.
He was taken to hospital for injuries to his head and body and released.
Patrons who were at the premises at the time of the incident refused to provide any information to Police.

5K walk from Gardens
A fund-raising walk which allows participants to donate money to a charity of their choice is taking place next month.
The Argus Walk the Walk 5K event is at the Botanical Gardens on Sunday, February 28, at 8.30 a.m.
Walkers pay $25 to enrol, with $20 going to their chosen charity and $5 to the volunteer recruitment website www.volunteer.bm.
