Bermudian family law attorney Suzanne Morley has been called to the Bermuda Bar.

Chief Justice Richard Ground presided over the ceremony, which was held in his chambers. “It was very relaxed and quiet,” the new barrister said of the low-key ceremony.

Ms Morley is an associate at MacLellan and Associates and her application was made by firm owner Jacqueline MacLellan.

Ms MacLellan said: “It’s a very exciting day for me. Suzanne and I share a similar approach to helping our clients resolve differences, and I’m very proud to work with her.”

Ms Morley attended the Bermuda High School for Girls and Kathryn Gibbs School in Boston before heading to the UK to study law. She earned her bachelor of laws in 1992 from the University of Buckingham, then attended the College of Law, London, passing the Law Society finals in 1993.

Before her return to Bermuda, Ms Morley gained experience working in London and in Essex as a civil litigator.

She is also a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
