The Bermuda Road Safety Council (BRSC) wants people to trade in their damaged motorcycle helmets in exchange for a discount on new helmets.

Between 12 pm and 2 pm this Friday at City Hall, the BRSC will be giving away 20% discount vouchers towards approved helmets in exchange for old helmets.

According to the BRSC, helmets should be replaced if they have been involved in a crash, if they have been dropped if they have cracks or dents or if they are more than two to four years old.

Road Safety Officer David Minors said: "It is important that the helmets worn will protect you when you need it most."
