Burglars strike at two schools
Electronics were stolen from two schools in just two nights.
According to Police, an unknown person entered Impact Mentoring Academy between 6 p.m. on Thursday and 7.20 a.m. on Friday morning, removing computer equipment and a X-Box 360 video game console.
The next night, a Toshiba DVD player — still in it's box — was removed from Tree Tops 2 nursery school in Southampton.
The incidents were just two in a series of burglaries that occurred across the Island.
At 7.30 a.m. on Friday, cash and personal items were stolen from a St. George's guest property. According to Police, a burglar entered a guest's room between 10 a.m. on Thursday and 4.30 a.m. on Friday.
That same afternoon, electronics and alcohol were reported stolen from a Southampton home.
At some time between 7.30 a.m. and 2.25 p.m., a culprit entered the Riviera Crescent home, taking a men's watch, a 46 inch Samsung flat screen television and two bottles of alcohol.
The next day, a flat screen television was reported stolen from a Ballast Point Road, St. George's home.
The burglar entered sometime between 10.30 a.m. and 11 p.m. that day, taking the 42 inch Panasonic television.
Police are advising the public to make sure they lock their windows and doors when leaving their homes, even if only for a short time.
A Police spokesman said: "The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods to Police on 295-0011."
