Charities now being sought to benefit from 2010 End-to-End
Charities can now apply to receive End-to-End funding.
The Bermuda End-to-End Charitable Trust is seeking applications from organisations ahead of its next event, on May 1.
The End-to-End is the Island's largest charity fundraiser. Each year more than 2,500 participants walk, cycle, run and swim the length of Bermuda to raise money for local non-profit organisations.
Bermuda End-to-End chairwoman Anne Mello said: "Now in our 23rd year, we are one of the oldest continuously running charitable events in Bermuda and the one that involves the most people.
"This year we have adopted a new event tagline to reflect how broad our reach is. Our 2010 T-shirts and all event publicity will sport the words 'people, pledges and possibilities'.
"This refers to the dedicated people involved in the event, those who sponsor our event, who volunteer and who collect pledges for their efforts in order to realise the possibilities that local charities can achieve."
Ms Mello said: "In the current economic climate, our attention this year will again be focused on charities that are addressing the most pressing needs in the community."
Registered charities wishing to be considered for funding must be non-sectarian and undertaking work in Bermuda. Applications must be received by Friday, November 6.
Forms can be downloaded from The Centre on Philanthropy website (www.centreonphilanthropy.org) or the Bermuda End-to-End website (www.bermudaendtoend.bm) under the charity section.
