Critical bike man flown to US

The victim of a weekend road accident was flown off the Island for treatment in the US yesterday.The 44-year-old man, from Devonshire, sustained serious head injuries when he was riding pillion on a motorcycle on Harbour Road late on Saturday.According to the Police, the bike was heading west when the passenger's head collided with a utility pole.

The 39-year-old Sandys man riding the motorcycle was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
A spokesperson for King Edward VII Memorial hospital said the man was in a critical condition when he left Bermuda yesterday morning.
No information was available on where he was sent for further treatment.
