The family of road fatality victim Geoffrey Burns are appealing to the public to help find a bracelet that went missing when he was killed.

Mr. Burns was the Island's eight road fatality of the year when he collided with another motorcyclist at 6 a.m. near the Botanical Gardens on September 1.

He was due to fly out the next day for his third year at Ryerson University.

A Police statement said: "Police are appealing for anyone that may have found a men's gold linked bracelet on Berry Hill Road, Paget between the Botanical Gardens entrance and Tee Street, particularly in the Windgap Lane area to please contact Acting Inspector Tracy Burgess on 295-0011.

"The bracelet was lost around 6 a.m. Wednesday, September 1 and has sentimental value for the family of Geoffrey Burns, tragically killed in a road traffic collision in that area at the aforementioned date and time.

"His family is appealing for the public's assistance in recovering the bracelet."
