A 21-year-old Pembroke man was arrested after failing an alco-analyser test when he crashed his car into a parked car on Crow Lane.

Police say the man stopped initially before driving away at around 2.15 a.m. on Saturday; he was pursued by officers who later found his vehicle on White Sands Road, Paget.

Both cars were extensively damaged in the incident.

Later that day, a 61-year-old woman driver suffered an injured right hand after she also crashed into a parked car — which in turn smashed into a tree — on Reid Street.

That accident happened at 4.45 p.m. on Saturday and caused extensive damage to the parked car.
