Fifth annual London Booze Cruise tickets now on sale
Bermudians living in London will get a taste of home away from home during a booze cruise on the River Thames featuring rum swizzles and Crown and Anchor.
The event on July 18 will raise funds for a community programme in Kenya, the British Red Cross China Earthquake Appeal and the Disasters Emergency Committee Myanmar (Burma) Cyclone Appeal.
Now in its fifth year, the annual cruise has raised more than $10,000 since it started.
This year's party will take place on a two-decked boat called the Golden Flame which holds 240 people. Tickets cost £40 including three drinks, a buffet and some chips for the Crown and Anchor table.
Organiser Matthew Davies, who is from Southampton and has lived in London for seven years, said: "The cruise always proves to be a great night out, and is a great chance to catch up with all those Bermudians living in London and the UK who you didn't even know were there! And a few rum swizzles certainly help the night along.
"Gosling's and their UK distributor United Brands Ltd have once again kindly agreed to sponsor the event and will be providing plenty of rum for the swizzle and the limbo, Crown and Anchor and raffle prizes."
