Final day for applications for Tourism's world marketing manager post
Today is the final day for applications for a marketing manager position at the Department of Tourism's New York office.
The worldwide marketing manager will be paid between $110,478 and $129,536 a year.
The advert appeared in the Official Gazette, seeking a qualified and experienced individual with a strong sales background and management skills.
Yesterday the department said: "The post of Marketing Manager Worldwide is an existing post that has been redefined to include worldwide responsibility.
"The person who previously held the post resigned."
The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the marketing section of the New York Office. This includes implementing the marketing plan, working with key agencies and monitoring promotions.
The individual will also be required to coordinate promotional opportunities with television and radio stations as well as magazine and film companies.
Monitoring budgets and preparing quarterly reports on media spending will also be an important part of the job. As will making recommendations about future budgets.
The individual must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of five years work experience.
The final confirmation of the post will be conditional upon the applicant obtaining the required non-immigrant visa to work in the US.
The department is also looking for an administrative officer who will earn between $66,380 and $71,110.
The job posting stated: "Under the supervision of the Director of Global Operations, [the assistant] performs a variety of complex, responsible and confidential secretarial and administrative duties, requiring a thorough knowledge of organisational policies and procedures."
Applicants should have completed secondary school education to BSC level or the equivalent. Applicants should also have completed two years of secretarial studies at a recognised institution or a clerical certificate.
A minimum of five years as an executive assistant or executive secretary is a must for the post preferably within the hospitality industry and preferably dealing within an international environment.
