Flat tyre blamed for car crash

A driver crashed into a wall after apparently losing control of his car when the left front tyre deflated.
The 57-year-old Pembroke man was not injured in the incident, which took place on Middle Road, Paget near its junction with Manse Road, at about 8.20 p.m. on Monday. His vehicle suffered front end damage.
During the week Monday, October 13, to Monday, October 20, there were 52 accidents on Bermuda's roads. Of these, 16 resulted in injury and 36 were damage only.
Fifteen people were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, while 17 vehicles were taken without their owners' consent, 11 of which were stolen in Pembroke.
