This week's boycott appears to have had little effect on the circulation of The Gazette , despite claims by the organisers of a 75 percent success rate.

Early returns suggest there has been little change in sales.

A televised invitation was made earlier this month to meet the boycott group to discuss their concerns. But they failed to agree to a meeting until after the boycott threat had been carried out.

A Royal Gazette spokesman said: "We thank our readers for continuing to support the newspaper.''
