Gleaming with a capital G

Volunteers from Capital G staff lent a helping hand to the Keep Bermuda Beautiful annual Island-wide marine clean-up effort.

The Capital G team was assigned to the Shelly Bay Park area and the pile of trash they collected included everything from tyres to TVs, to bags of recyclables and general litter.

President and CEO of Capital G Bank, John Kephart said: "We value the Capital G Bank staff's spirit for volunteerism, and their support of our community involvement objectives."

KBB executive director Richard Lathan said: "KBB is truly grateful to see all the different groups and organisations lend their support to the effort, and make the event a success."

This year's KBB Island-wide Marine Clean-up was held last weekend in conjunction with the worldwide initiative organised by the Ocean Conservancy, a global environmental group, aimed at cleaning up the oceans.
