Police were called to a sudden death on Devon Spring Road, Devonshire, yesterday.

A 49-year-old Canadian man was found hanging inside the residence. He was in an unresponsive and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.

The Royal Gazette understands the man had been living on the Island for 11 years and worked in construction. He had recently been told that his term limit was up and would have to leave the Island soon.

No further information will be released until the next of kin, who live overseas, have been notified. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
