Home fire sends two to hospital

A fire in a Pembroke home left two people needing medical treatment yesterday.Police and Bermuda Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a reported house fire at around 12.30pm.While two people in the house were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) for treatment of smoke inhalation, neither was seriously injured in the blaze.

Police and Bermuda Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a reported house fire at around 12.30pm.
While two people in the house were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) for treatment of smoke inhalation, neither was seriously injured in the blaze.
A Police spokesman said: “The fire was extinguished by firefighters at the scene.
“There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances, however a 42-year-old Pembroke woman and a 45-year-old Pembroke man were taken to KEMH.
Both the man and the woman were released from the hospital yesterday.
