King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) yesterday unveiled new digital scan equipment for mammograms. The technology provides precise imaging to follow a suspicious mammogram.
Manager of mammography Terrica Glasford said the new machine took half as much time as the old equipment. "This new digital technology will provide greater accuracy and increased ease of use for our patients, and will help us save lives."
KEMH recommends annual mammograms for women 40 years and older as part of a yearly wellness test.
