A 61-year-old St. George's man was charged on Friday with wounding his daughter.

Bernard Brockington, of Aunt Jinny's Lane, is accused of wounding Ebony Brockington, 21, with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on August 12, 2010.

Brockington was not required to enter a plea as the matter must be heard in Supreme Court.

Magistrate Juan Wolffe released Brockington on $3,000 bail until September 24, when he is expected to return for mention. Mr. Wolffe also ordered Brockington to stay away from the victim.
