Movember: Brendan Huttick

When Lemon Tree owner Brendan Huttick signed on to host the launch of Movember, he was only too happy to grow a moustache as well.

Vowing to don a Mo as a reminder for men to get regular health checks, Mr Huttick initially expected growth that he could hang beads on.

Now more than halfway through, he said: "I'm kind of disappointed in myself. The Mo's coming along but I expected bigger.

"It's embarrassing. But I'm hoping by the end of this month, I'll have enough there for at least one bead."

He said the Lemon Tree has a gallery of Movember pictures, most recently from Monday's beer tasting hosted by the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre for the halfway mark of the month.

"One thing I'm happy with is that the centre came over and collected about $600 in donations that we've been getting, which is the whole point of this thing."

He said cancer is a disease that's affected almost everybody in some way, including friends and family of his own.

"And I guess the Mo is coming along okay. We'll see," he added.
