MSA celebrates Halloween in style

Students at Mount Saint Agnes celebrated the Halloween festivities by dressing up as ghosts, goblins — and grapes.

The young people, from Kindergarten through to Grade Five, took part in their 'Parade of Costumes' yesterday in all kinds of garb — from the scary to the sweet. The 20-year tradition involved taking part in a merry dance around the school gymnasium to the delight of parents, teachers and friends.

High school students enjoyed the celebration by dressing to the theme of 'Freaky Friday'; while middle school students enjoyed a Halloween dance in the auditorium. Even school faculty and staff got into the Halloween spirit and dressed in full costume.

MSA Principal Sue Moench said: "Education need not always be formal and serious. We want our students to be able to enjoy fellowship and an overall Halloween experience that is not only fun, but within a safe environment.

"In addition to the various events that we had planned (yesterday), baked goods and healthy treats had been provided for everyone's enjoyment. We wish our entire Mount Saint Agnes Family and the entire Bermuda community a safe and enjoyable Halloween weekend."
