New features boost for The Royal Gazette

The Royal Gazette is pleased to announce the addition of new features after publication of The Mid-Ocean News was suspended last week.

These include the Select TV guide, which appears free in today's paper, the Colour Comics and Games Book, which will run every Saturday, and a number of popular Mid-Ocean News columns.

Today on Page 50, BermyNet.com's "Royal Gallery" starts, with a series of community photos from the Mount St. Agnes Fair. And on Page 46, DJ LT releases his latest weekly top 20 of the Island's top dance hits.

These features join The Royal Gazette's popular Food for Thought column by Catherine Burns on Fridays.

Ira Philip's Island Notebook finds a new home in The Royal Gazette's Saturday Weekender section tomorrow as does David Ezekiel's Bridge column. Dr. Edward Harris' Heritage Matters will also appear in the Saturday Weekender in the future.

They join Dr. Sylvia Rimm, a well-known syndicated columnist, who writes on parenting in Saturday's community-oriented Weekender section.

Clyde Best's The Big Leagues will also be appearing in The Royal Gazette's Saturday sports pages in future.

"Although The Mid-Ocean News ceased publication last week, we know that its readers treasured many of its regular features," said Royal Gazette Editor Bill Zuill.

"So we are glad to let them know that they have found a new home in the Gazette where we hope they will find an even wider audience."

Stay tuned for further announcements on new Royal Gazette features in the future.
