No riding of motorised mini bikes on public ground, warn Police
Police yesterday warned parents and guardians of children with motorised mini bikes to keep them away from public grounds.
An advisory was issued by Police, who said they were aware of young children riding "particularly in the Khyber Pass and Ord Road, Warwick area and the Loyal Hill, Devonshire area".
A spokesperson said: "These vehicles are often ridden by young children; however these bikes are not licensed or insured.
"Police are asking parents and guardians of children with motorised mini bikes to be vigilant about where the bikes are being ridden and to make sure they are not used on the roads, parks or railway trails. The Bermuda Police Service reminds all operators of motorised mini bikes to do so responsibly. Appropriate action will be taken by Police if any offences are observed being committed."
