A woman has been arrested in the suspected fentanyl overdose of a Bermudian woman in northeast Arkansas.

In a statement, the Blytheville Police Department, in Mississippi County, said they responded to a report of an unresponsive female on July 23 and found Shania Haller, 29, deceased.

Arkansas prosecutors and police suspect that Ms Haller died from a fentanyl overdose.

The Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office reported that investigators determined Stallings was the source of the drugs that likely killed Ms Haller.

Blytheville police Sergeant Robin Haught-Angel, in a statement, said: “During the course of the investigations, detectives with the Blytheville Criminal Investigations Division, along with agents from the Arkansas Second Judicial District Drug Task Force, discovered that Lynsey Dinez Stallings, 30, was found to be in connection to the death.

“Ms Stallings was transported to the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office and charged with numerous drug charges including aggravated death by delivery for the death of Ms Haller.”

A booking form specified that Ms Stallings was charged with delivering fentanyl, along with maintaining a drug premises, possessing drug equipment and having cocaine and meth.

Ms Stallings is being held without bond, and is expected to appear in Blytheville District Court for mention today, with the police stating that the investigation was still ongoing.
