Premier Ewart Brown has offered his condolences to the family of Alinda Cox after her recent passing.

Mrs. Cox, a teacher for more than 45 years, taught Dr. Brown at Harrington Sound Primary School in the early 50s. Mrs. Cox was the widow of former Finance Minister Eugene Cox, and the mother of Deputy Premier Paula Cox.

"She was an excellent teacher and a kind-spirited lady," the Premier said. "[My wife] Wanda and I have extended our deepest condolences to the Deputy Premier and her family."
