Premier's Press Secretary stepping down this week
Premier Ewart Brown's Press Secretary is stepping down after less than six months in the post.
Bermudian Arnold Minors assumed the role on October 1.
Dr. Brown announced the move in a brief statement to the media yesterday.
He said: "I would like to announce that effective the end of this week that we will no longer have the services of Mr. Arnold Minors as the Press Secretary for my office. However, Mr. Minors has agreed to remain with us in the capacity of speech writer and so we can expect to continue see him around. Any other information regarding this post will be given to you at a later date."
Mr. Minors, 64, declined to comment on why he's stepping down, or whether he will be replaced. He returned to Bermuda to replace Glenn Jones as Dr. Brown's Press Secretary. He'd spent the previous 45 years living in Toronto, Canada.
Mr. Jones held the post for more than two years.
