Prostate cancer expert speaks

Dr. Edward Schaeffer

An expert on prostate cancer will speak to doctors and nurses on the Island about the illness and new ways to fight it.

Dr. Edward Schaeffer, assistant professor of urology, oncology and pathology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine will speak today about the latest research on prostate cancer as part of a clinician-education programme, focusing on the latest findings.

Tomorrow, Dr. Malcolm Brock, the associate professor of thoracic surgery and tumour biology at Johns Hopkins will host a lecture by Dr. Schaeffer titled, 'Future of Robotics in Urology.'

The lecture series is part of the University's mission to share knowledge with health care providers throughout the world.
