Public invited to Bermuda Overseas Mission review of Guatemala trip
Volunteers who travelled to Guatemala earlier this year to help build homes for the needy are invited to relive the experience on December 28.
Bermuda Overseas Mission will be hosting 'Guatemala Night' at the Fairmont Southampton from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. when there will be slide shows and presentations from the Habitat for Humanity International trip.
Fifty five volunteers from the Island travelled to the Central American country in July and helped construct three homes.
David Thompson, president of Bermuda Overseas Mission, said: "We have chosen this date as most of our students will be home on Christmas break and therefore able to attend.
"This will be a great time to reconnect with everyone from the build and enjoy again our trip through slide shows and presentations. Light refreshments and snacks will be served."
The event is also open to those interested in finding out more about Habitat and next year's overseas trip.
