Reel World Weekend starts October 10
Tickets to Tango, violin virtuosos and a Gospel concert will be on sale today for the Bermuda International Film Festival (BIFF) Fundraiser.
Reel World Weekend, which includes three days of music, dance, and wine starts on Friday, October 10 with the Colours of Tango at the Mid-Ocean Amphitheatre at the Fairmont Southampton Princess Hotel.
It will feature the Tango Y Ma Dance Company.
Then on Saturday, October 11 a South African Jol (Party) at the home of Dame Pamela and Andrew Banks where South African violinist Samson Diamond will perform.
Finally a Gospel Concert at Fairmont Southampton Princess on Sunday, October 12 featuring Odetta and Bermuda's Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Mass Choir.
The proceeds of Reel World Weekend will go to support the festival's educational programmes, as well as the festival itself including supporting the festival's BIFF Film Academy for nursery school, primary school, middle school, senior school and college-age youth, establishment of grants, bursaries and/or fellowships for the study of filmmaking and providing support for the construction, maintenance, operation and support of facilities and equipment for film exhibition in Bermuda.
