Restaurants' sweet idea to help Family Centre
Restaurateurs have joined forces in a fundraiser in aid of the Family Centre.
Eleven restaurants have launched a 'Dessert Campaign' each of their menus will feature a special after dinner treat.
Proceeds from the special desserts will be contributed to the charity.
Latin, Hog Penny, Barracuda Grill, Pickled Onion, Swizzle Inn, The Swizzle, Lemon Tree Cafe, Bouchee, Harbourfront, Frog and Onion Pub, and The Bistro at The Beach are all participating.
Family Centre executive director Martha Dismont said: "During these challenging economic times, we are seeing an increased need for services that help families to better care for their children.
"We need the public to understand that we are here providing that help and we need everyone's support in order to provide the best care."
She added: "We are so grateful to each of the restaurants that offered to sponsor a dessert in the month of April.
"We hope that everyone will patronise these restaurants, look for the Family Centre card on your table that describes the initiative, and of course, eat dessert."
