A 16-year-old schoolboy remained in the ICU in critical condition last night after sustaining serious injuries in a two vehicle accident on Saturday.

The boy, from Sandys, was riding an auxiliary cycle when he was involved in a collision with a car being driven by a 36-year-old Smith's woman at approximately 11.30 p.m. on South Road near its junction with Brighton Hill.

The boy sustained serious head, leg and internal injuries as a result of the crash. The woman car driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.
