Sandys parish woman injured in crash

A 17-year-old girl suffered injuries to her head, neck and abdomen after crashing into a wall on Sunday.
Police responded to the accident near Somerset Bridge around 6 p.m.
A Police spokesperson said: "It appears that an auxiliary cycle was travelling west on Somerset Road when the rider, a Sandys Parish woman, lost control and collided with a wall at the entrance to Robinson's Shell Marine Station."
The rider was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
As of press time, she was said to be in a stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
The accident was one of 12 reported by Police over the weekend, four of which resulted in injury.
