Schedule of 400th anniversary events

January
Today Launch of Bermuda's 400th anniversary celebrations on Front Street from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. with performances, food, festivities and fun for the whole family.
22 Launch of 400th anniversary commemorative stamp.
February
9 The Sally Bassett monument receives its official opening at the Cabinet grounds.
9 Sensei Roots Shiai, by the Bermuda Karate Organisation, will hold an open martial arts competition.
March
1 Jamestown Bermuda Special begins until October 15 with an exhibition exploring governmental, religious and trade connections between Bermuda and Jamestown.
7 'With These Hands', a film by Bermuda Craft Market about Bermuda builders, farmers sailors and more at Neptune Theatre opens in Dockyard until April 4.
April
16 - 18 The Annual Exhibition
25 Culture Fest by the Bermuda National Trust at Verdmont in Smith's.
May
1 TechArt 09 opens. It is a show featuring digitally crafted art in three categories, digital photos, digital art and illustration and digital videos. (List doesn't say where this will take place)
25 A film by Look Bermuda about the Sea Venture, the wreck of the ship and the settlement of Bermuda. (List doesn't say where this will take place)
June
11 - 15 Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge racing from Spain to Les Canarias to Bermuda, then Boston, Halifax and Belfast. The ships will begin arriving in Hamitlon June 11 and will stay until June 15. The race begins in Vigo, Spain.
20 Native Bermuda Festival at St. David's County Cricket Field showcasing Native American song, dance, storytelling and craftmaking.
July
8 - 11 Re-Enactment of the Sea Venture Wreck and Fort St. Catherine at the fort.
30 and 31 Cupmatch and Emancipation Day Celebrations.
September
9 Bermuda Art: A Cultural History, an exhibition through the collaboration of the Bermuda National Trust and the Bermuda National Gallery. (doesn't say where)
25 and 26 Opera Under the Stars by Morley Productions with world class opera performed in 'The Keep' at the Bermuda Maritime Museum.
October
4 Annual Gombey Festival
7 -10 Bermuda Music Festival
November
11 National Service of Remembrance
28 Premier's Concert put on by the Department of Commerce and Cultural Affairs (doesn't say where)

1 Opening of permanent exhibit, Bermuda and the New World: Shipwrecks and Settlement at the Bermuda Maritime Museum
12 Bermuda Christmas Boat Parade and official Bermuda 2009 closing ceremony.
