Two men stole a laptop from an Elliot Street business.

According to a Police spokesperson one man stood guard while the other made off with the item on Wednesday.

"It appears a clerk was in the store when a 5ft 4in dark-skinned male came into the store," the spokesperson stated. "A few minutes later a tall dark-skinned male, around 6ft 4in also came into the store, made a small purchase, and made good his escape with a white Apple laptop that was beside the cash register."

He continued: "The 5ft 4in man stood guard in the store and shortly made his escape as well."

Police described the shorter of the two men as having a narrow face, pimples, a straight nose and braided hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing blue jeans and a navy jacket.

The taller man is said to have had a slim build, and was wearing a multi-coloured shirt with bright red on the sleeve and blue jeans.
