Some 6,243 people arrived between November 21 and 27 -- the week of the US Thanksgiving holiday -- compared to 6,174 in the same period last year.

For the year to date, 398,113 visitors have come by air -- one percent up on 1993's figure of 393,995.

So far in 1994, 572,045 holidaymakers have come to the Island, compared to 548,483 -- 4.3 percent fewer -- a year ago.
