The local branch of Amnesty International will launch the charity's annual report at Bermuda Bookstore tomorrow (Friday).

Executive director Lucy Attride-Stirling will be at the Queen Street store from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to talk to anyone wanting information on Amnesty's work.

The report — on the state of human rights around the world — is not for sale but there will be several free copies available for those interested.

Ms Attride-Stirling said: "Bermuda is not included in this report and that means that there are no gross human rights violations reported in Bermuda."

The Bermuda branch of Amnesty has launched its own website for the first time — visit www.amnestybermuda.org.

The charity also has a table at Harbour Nights on Front Street every Wednesday, where visitors can sign letters appealing against human rights violations.
