Three more charged for Cup Match fight
Three men appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday in connection with an alleged fight at Cup Match.
Psanto Eve, 18, Jahkeil Samuels, 24, and Dwayne Signor, 27, pleaded not guilty to the charges. Their appearance in court brings the total number of persons charged in relation to the alleged brawl at Wellington Oval last Friday, to nine.
Eve, of Princess Street, Pembroke, was charged with seven offences taking part in a fight, riotous behaviour, escaping custody, violently resisting arrest, stealing alcohol and wielding a glass bottle and a shovel as offensive weapons. He was represented by lawyer Llewelyn Peniston.
Samuels, also of Princess Street, was charged with helping Eve escape custody and wilfully obstructing an officer. He was represented by lawyer Charles Richardson.
Signor, of Governors Alley, St. George's, was charged with taking part in a fight and riotous behaviour. He was unrepresented.
Eve and Signor were remanded in custody. Samuels was granted bail in the amount of $5,000. The three men were ordered to return to Magistrates' Court on August 17.
