Three people charged with fighting

Two men and a woman have been charged in connection to a fight involving a bladed weapon.

McLee Smith, 31, Gilroy Brangman, 36, and Dionte Trimm, 23, are all facing charges in connection to the incident, which left one man with injuries to his arm and thumb.

At around 5 p.m. on November 8, Police responded to reports of a brawl near Fort Hamilton.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found an abandoned BMW smashed into the wall at the junction of King Street and Happy Valley Road.

Police believe the car was fleeing the scene of the disturbance when the accident occurred.

Both Smith and Brangman were charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, while Smith was additionally charged with possessing a bladed weapon and the aggravated taking of a vehicle without the owner's consent.

Trimm has been charged with taking a vehicle without the owner's consent and using threatening words, specifically: "My man is going to kill your man."

All three individuals are expected to appear for mention in Magistrates' Court again on December 10.
