Was your punt removed from Jews Bay? Reclaim it from Marine & Ports
Mariners whose punts were removed from Jews Bay due to lapsed registration can reclaim them starting tomorrow.
Owners who want their confiscated punts back will have to pay a $50 recovery fee at the Department of Marine and Ports.
Once the fee has been paid, and the punt registration brought up to date, they will be issued a receipt which should be presented at the time of collection along with photo ID and boat registration papers.
Collections will be by appointment only, made at the time of payment. The first collection period will be tomorrow and a second is scheduled for October 14.
Punt owners will be advised of the location when they go to the Department of Marine and Ports on East Broadway, 4 Crow Lane, Pembroke.
The boats were removed from Jews Bay on September 23.
