St. George's woman injured in road accident
A 63-year-old St. George's woman sustained injuries to her face and knee after a traffic accident on Sunday.
At approximately 9.40 p.m. on Sunday Police attended the scene of an accident involving an auxiliary cycle and a car on Old Military Road in St. George's.
According to Police the cycle was heading North and the car was going in the opposite direction when the two collided. The driver of the car, a 42-year-old St. George's man was not injured but the rider of the cycle needed to be treated at the scene by EMTs before being taken to King Edward Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further treatment.
The auxiliary cycle was extensively damaged as a result of the collision while the car received front end damage.
Two burglaries reported in St. George's on Friday
There were two reported burglaries in St. George's on Friday.
At 1.15 p.m. on Friday Police were alerted to a break-in at a Texas Road, St. George's home.
According to the victim someone gained entry into their home between 7.45 a.m. and 1 p.m. that day. The thief stole a quantity of cash, jewellery and an apple laptop.
At 5.30 p.m. on Friday Polce received a report that a Barrack Hill, St. George's home had been broken into.
The complainant said that the culprit entered the home sometime between 8.25 a.m. and 5.20 p.m. that day while no one was home. The thief made off with a 37-inch Toshiba flat screen television.
Police inquiries into these two incidents are underway.
Three people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving
Over the weekend there were three people arrested for suspicion of impaired driving, five reported burglaries and 19 reported damage-only traffic accidents. Also there were nine reported traffic accidents that resulted in injury and three vehicles reported stolen.
Police thank public in helping find missing boy
The Bermuda Police Service are thanking the public for their assistance in locating 15-year-old Rechai Reeve Young. The young man was reported missing last week but has since been accounted for.
