Boundaries Commission to hold town-hall meeting

A town-hall meeting will be held on Wednesday to discus concerns about the electoral boundaries in Bermuda.

The meeting, organised by the Boundaries Commission, will be held from 7 to 8.30 p.m. at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI).

Individuals and organisations are invited to bring verbal and written submissions to the meeting, which will be reviewed by the committee at a later stage.

The public can also email submissions to: boundaries_commission@gov.bm.

According to a statement, the Boundaries Commission must follow Section 54 of the Bermuda Constitution and are required to look at all submissions as soon as practical.

The Commission must also review the boundaries and constituencies into which Bermuda is divided and submit their opinion to the House on whether the changes are required or not.
