Digicel donates BlackBerrys to autism group

The charity Tomorrow’s Voices has been given free BlackBerry phones by Digicel Bermuda.The company announced that it had donated the devices, complete with free local voice and data services.Tomorrow’s Voices, Bermuda Autism Early Intervention Centre, helps young people with autism learn.People who suffer from autism experience severe and pervasive impairment in several areas of development, including social skills and communication skills.Tomorrow’s Voices executive director Kimberly Mills said: “The donated phones will allow us to stay connected with parents and our clients throughout the day and night.“It will also allow our therapists to stay in touch with the main centre when they are out consulting with parents, schools and agencies in the community.”Digicel Bermuda CEO Wayne Caines said: “We at Digicel are very excited to be a part of this partnership, which will enable Tomorrow’s Voices to operate more efficiently.”lUseful Websites: www.tomorrowsvoices.bm, www.digicelgroup.com.
