Six young Bermudians were awarded scholarships for beginning and continuing studies by the men of the Bermuda alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.

Dayla Trott, Brittany Easton, Jordan Hill, LeRoya Hardtman, Damian Pitcher, Shelby Hollis were all given scholarships by the fraternity at a ceremony at Victoria Park.

During the ceremony, Anthony Hunter, President of the chapter, spoke about the need for young Bermudians to further their education.

The chapter has for the past 11 years supported young Bermudians financially as well as older Bermudians who have chosen to further their education.

They have also worked in the community in performing several other charitable functions and organising the Annual Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Pee Wee Soccer Extravaganza for young football players and the golf tournament.

All proceeds are returned to the community in the form of education awards.
