Gazette website upgraded
The Royal Gazette's website, www.theroyalgazette.com, has added new features aimed at making it more useful to readers.
In response to customer demand, obituaries and death notices are now easily accessible in a partnership with leading Internet service provider Legacy.com.
The service, which can be found through a link "Death and Funeral Notices" in the left hand column, offers recent death and funeral notices, guest books for leaving tributes and an area to search past obituaries.
The website's Business section – the most comprehensive online resource for Bermuda business news – now also features live stock listings for international companies based in Bermuda; you can also click on listed companies for comprehensive financial data and news on individual companies.
"These are just some of the projects we are working on to keep improving www.theroyalgazette.com," said Editor Bill Zuill.
"We know from our own independent surveys that the website is the primary source of online news for Bermuda residents.
"And our tracking of users also tells us that it is a hugely important way for people abroad to keep up with Bermuda news and events.
"These new features are aimed at making www.theroyalgazette.com Bermuda's best website."
He added: "We also want to remind people who want to see the print version of the paper but are unable to get a hard copy of the paper or a subscription, that they can do so through our "Newstand" product on the website."
