Two properties in Bermuda were named among the '500 Best Hotels in the World' by Travel + Leisure Magazine.

Both The Reefs and the Elbow Beach Hotel were selected for the prestigious list by the renowned publication's team of reporters and editors.

The commendation was not a first for The Reefs – the Southampton property has been named previously.

Just as impressively, Elbow Beach, a Mandarin Oriental hotel, was one of only 50 hotels newly-named to the list of 500.

The accolade came in the year the hotel celebrated its 100th anniversary. And it brought congratulations to management and staff from Premier Ewart Brown, Minister of Tourism and Transport. Director of Tourism, William Griffith, also offered his congratulations over the holiday weekend.

Dr. Brown also offered congratulations to David Dodwell, owner of The Reefs.
