Lawyers to give summations in attempted murder trial
The case of a man accused of attempting to murder 21-year-old Kevon Albouy is nearing a conclusion after both the prosecution and defence completed their evidence.
Joshua Wolffe, 24, of Cockburn Road, Sandys, on Friday, declined to take to the stand to speak about the charges against himself.
The charges include wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, having a bladed article in a public place, wilful damage to a car, intimidating a witness and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The alleged incident happened near Five Star Island, Southampton, on July 10 last year.
Mr. Albouy has previously told Supreme Court he was set upon by Wolffe and co-defendants Steven Iris and Leshaun Scott as he sat in his mother's car. Iris and Scott have both pleaded guilty to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Prosecutor Rory Field and defence lawyer Larry Scott will summarise their cases to the seven women and five men of the jury on Monday morning.
