A 35-year-old motorcyclist was in serious condition in hospital last night after a collision with a taxi.

Police issued an appeal for witnesses; the man appeared to be travelling east on North Shore Road near Jennings Road, Smiths shortly after 10 p.m. Anyone who may have seen the collision to contact police on 2950011.
