A 28-year-old man was robbed while walking along Happy Valley Road in Pembroke.

Police said the man was injured by two strangers who made good their escape on foot with the victim's wallet and personal items around 2.45 a.m. on Sunday.

The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of "non-life threatening injuries", said a Police spokesman. He was discharged from the hospital by 6 p.m. on Monday.

The suspects are described as two black men wearing helmets; one being taller than the other.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
