Police continue appeal for caution on our roads

The Bermuda Police Service reiterated its advice that motorists slow down and use care, caution and courtesy on the Island's roads.

Persons in cars are reminded to use seat belts at all times and those on motorcycles to fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.

Police reported 14 accidents resulting in injury during the week of February 2-9.

There were 29 reports of damage only collisions and five persons were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

Officers were informed of 32 stolen vehicles one each from Devonshire, Southampton and St. George's; three from Hamilton Parish and Paget; 17 from Pembroke; four from Warwick; two from Sandys.

The majority of the vehicles taken were either auxiliary cycles or motorcycles however there was also one car and one motocross cycle also reported missing. Of the 32 vehicles reported stolen, six were subsequently recovered, including the car.
