School enrolment takes place next week

Annual registration for first enrolment in the Bermuda Public School System will be held next Wednesday through Friday and parents are asked to submit the forms to their child's respective school.

Students who are set to attend primary, middle and high school will be given a form from their current schools no later than Tuesday, in addition, the forms will be available at post offices as of Monday.

The Ministry of Education is asking parents who receive customised forms to check the data and make any needed changes before returning the forms to the school of their choice.

Students not currently in the BPSS can also obtain registration forms at the General Post Office and all sub-post offices with the exception of Perots Post Office.

First time students should submit completed forms to the schools in their zones and parishes on Wednesday through Friday during school hours preschoolers form for submission is pink and primary school form is pale yellow.

Students already in P6 at a public school should return their green pre-printed applications to their primary school for distribution to the middle school in their family of schools.

Parents whose children are not already in a Government school but wish for their children to enter middle school must submit their forms directly to the Ministry of Education on Dundonald Street between 8.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday though Friday.

Students already in a Government middle school should return their blue pre-printed application forms for senior school to their child's current middle school.

Parents whose children are not in a Government middle school but who wish for their children to enter senior school should submit their blue application form directly to the senior school of their choice during school hours on Wednesday through Friday.

In all cases, copies of the child's birth certificate or passport must be supplied at the time of application. Non-Bermudian applicants must provide proof that they have the right to reside in Bermuda beyond the start of school for students in September 2009.
