St. Kitts PM to visit
The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis will attend the Bermuda Day Parade during an official visit to Bermuda.
Dr. Denzil Douglas, who has led his country for 15 years, will arrive on the island on May 20 and stay for five days.
While here he will visit the House of Assembly, which starts again this Friday, calling on the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker. Dr. Douglas will also visit with the Governor and tour Dockyard and Commissioner's House.
Premier Ewart Brown said: "With such close links between Bermuda and St. Kitts it is a tremendous honour to welcome Dr. Douglas during our Heritage Month celebrations.
"The Prime Minister has also committed to reaching out to the local Kittitian community and those who retain close links to the Island by hosting a town-hall meeting to discuss recent development and change in St. Kitts."
Dr. Douglas will join local dignitaries on Bermuda Day to watch the parade.
