Stab victim and beaten teenager are recovering in hospital

Two young victims of violence continued to be treated in hospital yesterday.A 17-year-old from Sandys who was stabbed on Saturday remains in Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore where he was said to be in a "fair" condition yesterday.Police say three men are suspected to have been involved in the confrontation at a bus stop, in Sandys, around noon which resulted in the teenager receiving "serious stab wounds" to the chest.

Two young victims of violence continued to be treated in hospital yesterday.

A 17-year-old from Sandys who was stabbed on Saturday remains in Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore where he was said to be in a "fair" condition yesterday.

Police say three men are suspected to have been involved in the confrontation at a bus stop, in Sandys, around noon which resulted in the teenager receiving "serious stab wounds" to the chest.

A 17-year-old from St. George's was arrested at the nearby Traditions restaurant after allegedly contacting the Police himself. He has since been released on bail.

The family of the young man that got stabbed were said to be at his side at Johns Hopkins yesterday, where he was being treated in a coronary care unit.

Meanwhile, a teenager who was beaten, kicked and punched by a gang of men in Woodlawn Road, in Sandys, on Thursday was in a stable condition on a general ward at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The19-year-old from Devonshire was initially thought to have suffered minor injuries in the assault, but his condition worsened over the weekend and he was admitted to intensive care unit.

Police say he was set upon by "two or three young men with a blunt object" in Woodlawn Road, at 1 p.m. on Thursday. He was also punched and kicked.
